General Guidelines

Authors should use either Latex or MS Word format (in letter size) for submissions to the Bulletin.

Profile, Research Outlook and Book Review

For the sections on Profile, Research Outlook and Book Review, authors should use THREE-COLUMN page style.

• Latex

  Authors should use the IEEEtran style file which can be obtained from the IEEE official web site. As the style file cannot support three-column format and the header/footer needed, authors should download and use the iibbulletin package on top of the IEEEtran style file. The iibbulletin style file requires two additional style files - multicol.sty and fancyhdr.sty; both can be obtained from CTAN. Please also refer to this on-line document (pdf) for how to use the multicols package. Probably, the easiest way to get started is to refer to the following sample (ieee-iib-3col-latex.tex, ieee-iib-3col-latex.pdf).

• MS Word

  Authors should use the template ieee-iib-3col-mswd.dot for preparing three-column manuscripts in MS Word. Here is a sample created using the template (ieee-iib-3col-mswd.doc, ieee-iib-3col-mswd.pdf).

Feature Articles

For the section on Feature Articles, authors should follow the IEEEtran journal TWO-COLUMN style. The corresponding Latex style file (IEEETran.cls) and the MS Word template file (TRANS-JOUR.DOC) can be obtained from the IEEE official web site.
